Solidarity Partner 2024

Every year Hotel Gran Bilbao chooses a charity partner, either an association or a local NGO, as part of our corporate social responsibility, with whom we carry out an awareness-raising campaign to raise funds for the cause they are supporting. This year the cause we are joining is mental health and we will do it with the help of:

Association of Relatives and People with Mental Illness from Vizcaya

This 2024 we would like to contribute in some way to an initiative that was founded by a group of relatives of people with mental illness who, on observing the scarcity of resources allocated to mental health, decided to work towards dignifying this illness and demand the provision of resources in an effort to respond to the many needs these illnesses generate.

What do they offer?

  • Individual and family care

    The association offers support housing, activities, day centres and psychological care services.

  • Combating stigma and fighting for rights

    The association seeks to dignify existence, challenge stigma, and secure rights.

  • Prevention and promotion

Over the course of the year, HGB will carry out a series of activities involving all the hotel staff with the aim of raising as much money as possible and donating it in full to the association. The actions that will be undertaken are:

  • A charity brunch to raise funds (to be held in October).

  • Placement of donation boxes in common areas of the hotel.

  • Solidarity dish (available at dinnertime in our restaurant every day of the week), of which we donate 15% of the profits.

  • Sale of badges at reception.

  • Small ad campaigns will be carried throughout the year out to raise awareness regarding the association and the disease.
